Magento 1 Multi-Store Google Shopping B2C

B2C Store Transformation: Custom Products Only

Challenge

The client wanted to stop selling standard-size products on their B2C channel entirely, offering only custom-made variants. The B2B channel and the dedicated configurator shop had to remain completely unchanged. The scope touched product pages, category listings, search results, landing pages, and the Google Shopping feed simultaneously.

What Was Built

Attribute-based product detection (configurator-enabled flag or product type) to identify affected products without hardcoding SKUs or categories. "From price" display logic: the frontend shows the lowest variant price as a starting price. Content cleanup across product detail pages, landing pages, and category listings: all references to standard sizes and off-the-shelf variants removed within the B2C scope only. Search results adapted to the new price display. Google Shopping Feed extended to export the calculated "from price" so Merchant Center receives correct data for ads. All changes are scope-aware; B2B stores and the configurator were explicitly tested and show no regressions.

Outcome

The B2C channel presents all products as made-to-order with starting prices. No product data migration was required, the detection logic uses existing attributes.

"Many thanks for everything - and thanks for the great collaboration throughout the whole project. Well done."
